Vorwerk Opens New UK HQ In Solihull

German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk has opened a new 1700 square foot HQ in Balsall Common, Solihull, ahead of the launch of its new VK200 vacuum cleaner in June 2016.

The Wuppertal-based company manufactures several household electrical items including kitchen appliances, and will use the new office to recruit and train a field-based sales force ahead of the launch.

Eric McClenaghan, who will head Vorkwerk’s UK development, said “Balsall Common is ideally located in the centre of the country with convenient access to Coventry and Birmingham as well as further afield – our dedicated training room that accommodates 50 people will help to support our ambitious growth plans”.

The company, which has Channel 4 star Hayley Leitch as one of its brand ambassadors, is hoping to recruit 20 new staff as it continues its expansion into the UK market.
