EY have released their UK Attractiveness Report for 2016, which looks at the UK's position in foreign direct investment. Once again, the UK is the most attractive destination in Europe for FDI, with 20.9% of receipts.
The independent report, which covers the period from January to December 2015, shows that 1065 FDI projects were won with 42,000 UK jobs created.
Most English regions performed better than in previous years, with Scotland providing its highest numbers since EY started producing the report in 1997.
Amongst the key findings, companies choosing the UK as the location for their European Headquarters continued to increase - the UK now has a 53% share of the European market for this type of investment.
